Key policies that guide learning, safety, assessment, and records at MapleBridge International School.
MBIS serves students in Grades K–12. For secondary credits and OSSD completion, Ontario Ministry of Education requirements apply (e.g., prerequisites, literacy, community involvement, online-learning requirement).
Assessment follows Ontario policy (Growing Success). Course outlines specify categories, weightings, and culminating tasks. Late/missed work, academic support, and opportunities to demonstrate learning are handled with fairness and evidence.
Students must submit original work and properly cite sources. Use of AI, translation, or tutoring tools must align with the teacher’s directions. Violations may result in a re-do, mark consequences, or additional learning tasks.
MBIS collects, uses, and stores personal information for admission, instruction, assessment, and reporting. Student records are managed per Ontario Ministry requirements for the Ontario Student Record (OSR) and Ontario Student Transcript (OST).
Tuition and administrative fees are published each year. Certain fees (e.g., document evaluation, exam rescheduling, courier) may apply. Refunds follow the timelines and conditions below.
Final evaluations may include exams, performance tasks, or portfolios. Identity verification and supervised proctoring (online or in-person) may be required.
Students use MBIS platforms responsibly. Respectful communication, privacy protection, and academic honesty are required in all virtual spaces.
MBIS provides reasonable accommodations and learning supports based on documentation and student need. Contact us to discuss an Individualized Support Plan.
